When two freeways meet, there needs to be a way for people to change which one they're on. That's what interchanges are for!

There are hundreds of different interchanges, each one custom made for their specific circumstance. However, a few distinct designs, like cloverleafs, stacks, and parclos, are among the most common, each one optimized for its own purpose. Some common interchange types are shown below.
