Gustav Mahler's First Symphony, 3rd movement tranforms the French children's song and beginning band piece "Frere Jacques" into a mournful funeral march pitched in E♭ minor for a brief part at the end. The picture above depicts said funeral, based on an Austrian folk tale.

The key is very dark, with a similar hopelessness to that of F minor. It is very seldom used, reserved for truly advanced pieces with complex chord changes, or deeply mournful ones.
