Transportation in Los Angeles
LA28 will be a "transit-first" Games, encouraging the use of public transportation.
Public Transit: Los Angeles has a robust and expanding Metro rail and bus system that connects to most major venues.
Fares are affordable ($1.75 for a one-way trip with two hours of free transfers).
The new K Line will connect to the LAX airport via a people mover, which is expected to be completed by the Games.
Dedicated "Games Route Network" lanes will be used by official vehicles, but spectators are encouraged to use public transit, walk, or cycle to avoid expected congestion.
Driving/Parking: Renting a car offers flexibility for exploring Southern California, but expect heavy traffic. Dedicated "Park and Ride" sites with shuttle services to venues will be available.
