About This ClassAP Human Geography is a college-level course that explores the patterns and processes that have shaped human understanding, use, and alteration of Earth's surface. The class dives into how geography affects the way we live, work, and interact with each other in our increasingly interconnected world. In this course, we study the relationship between people and their environments from a global perspective, focusing on topics like population growth, urban development, cultural landscapes, economic activities, and the movement of people and ideas. By analyzing maps, data, and case studies, we gain a deeper understanding of how human behavior has transformed landscapes and societies throughout history and continues to do so today. Why I Love This ClassAP Human Geography has been one of my favorite classes because it opens my eyes to how diverse and complex our world is. It’s not just about memorizing facts and locations—it's about understanding the why and how behind the human experience across the globe. This class helps me think critically about global issues, and I can see how geography plays a role in everything from politics to culture to the environment.
