William Shakespeare was born in 1564 (his traditionally-accepted birthday is April 24th, though this isn't certain) in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. He wrote plays between 1585 and 1613, 3 years before he died in 1616.  

Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway (not that Anne Hathaway) in 1582, and they had 3 kids, Susanne, Judith, and Hamnet. Hamnet died when he was 11, and there is speculation on if this death inspired Shakespeare to write Hamlet.The movie Hamnet, released in 2025, covers Shakespeare's personal life, inclusing his son's death.
