🎟️ How to buy Olympic tickets
1. Register first (this is REQUIRED)
- You go to the official LA28 Olympics website and create an account
- Registration opened in early 2026
- Everyone who signs up is entered into a random draw (lottery)
👉 You can’t just buy tickets anytime—you must register first.
2. Get selected in the lottery
- If you’re chosen, you’ll get:
- A specific date and time to buy tickets
- If you’re not selected, you may get another chance in later rounds
This system helps prevent crashes and gives everyone a fair shot.
3. Buy tickets during your time slot
- When your time comes:
- You log in and pick your events (like basketball, swimming, etc.)
- You choose price categories (cheap → premium)
- You’ll have a limited time window (often about 48 hours) to buy
4. Ticket limits
- You can usually buy up to:
- 12 tickets total across events
- Each ticket = one event session (not the whole sport)
5. Prices
- Some tickets start around $28
- Most are under a few hundred dollars
- Big events (like finals or opening ceremony) can be much more expensive
6. More chances later
- Tickets are released in multiple waves (“drops”)
- There will also be:
- Official resale platforms starting closer to 2027
