| The Gaslight District is an Australian-Canadian adult animated post-apocalyptic neo-noir dark fantasy web series, created by Canadian YouTube animator Nick Szopko. It is produced by Glitch Productions and funded by Screen Australia. It is the fifth animated series by Glitch Productions, following The Amazing Digital Circus. The series is set on an island in a post-apocalyptic world, where the inhabitants are undead criminals condemned to immortality by God. A mafia crime family called The Smiling Dead are caught in midst of a web of lies, turmoil and deceit as they try to find out where they belong in the long-dead world they inhabit. However, one of them is the subject of a cataclysmic prophecy, and if that prophecy is fulfilled, it could very well mean the annihilation of all she holds dear, as well as the end of all the Gaslight District as she knows it. |
