Summary:
Hotel Transylvania is an animated comedy about Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler), who runs a lavish hotel in Transylvania designed specifically for monsters. The hotel provides a safe haven for creatures like vampires, werewolves, mummies, and other supernatural beings to relax away from the prying eyes of humans. Dracula's main goal is to protect his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez), who has just turned 118 years old and is eager to see the world outside the hotel.
Dracula plans a grand celebration for Mavis’ birthday, hoping to convince her to stay at the hotel rather than venture out into the human world. However, everything is thrown into chaos when a human named Jonathan (Andy Samberg) accidentally stumbles upon the hotel. Dracula, fearing for Mavis' safety and trying to keep her in the hotel, convinces everyone that Jonathan is a monster. As Dracula and Jonathan engage in a series of comedic mishaps, Mavis starts to develop a connection with Jonathan, and Dracula must confront his protective nature and learn to let go.
The film explores themes of family, trust, and the balance between protecting loved ones and allowing them to grow and explore the world. It combines heartwarming moments with humor, action, and delightful animation. |
