Summary:
The Devil Wears Prada is a comedy-drama film based on the novel by Lauren Weisberger. The story follows Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway), a young woman who dreams of becoming a journalist. She lands a job as the personal assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the powerful and demanding editor-in-chief of Runway, a prestigious fashion magazine. Though Andrea has no interest in fashion, she takes the job in hopes of advancing her career.
Miranda, known for her icy demeanor and high expectations, challenges Andrea both personally and professionally. Andrea’s life becomes increasingly difficult as she struggles to meet Miranda’s impossible demands while also navigating the complexities of her relationship with her boyfriend, Alex (Simon Baker), and her friends. As she starts to get absorbed by the glamorous but exhausting world of high fashion, Andrea begins to lose sight of her original goals and personal values.
As Miranda’s demanding behavior intensifies, Andrea must decide how far she is willing to go to succeed in her career and whether the price of success is worth sacrificing her integrity and personal life. |
