The United States hosts the largest number of locations, over 13,000, followed by China with more than 7,700, and Japan with over 3,000. Other countries with significant McDonald's presence include France, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil, Australia, the Philippines, and India. Despite its global reach, McDonald's is not present in every country. Some nations lack McDonald's due to political instability, insufficient infrastructure, or market considerations. For example, as of 2025, there are no McDonald's in Syria, Palestine, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, or the independent city-state of Vatican City. |
