Here are the instructions on how to play this game
(Inspired by Candy Land)
Goal of the Game
Be the first player to reach the Candy Castle at the end of the path on the board.
What You Need
- The Candy Land board
- Player pieces (gingerbread characters)
- The deck of Candy Land cards
Setup
- Open the board and place it on a flat surface.
- Each player picks a character piece and places it on the START space.
- Shuffle the cards and place them face down in a pile.
- The youngest player goes first (then turns go clockwise/left).
How to Play
On your turn:
1. Draw a card
Pick the top card from the deck. The card tells you how to move.
2. Move your piece
There are a few types of cards:
- One color card → Move forward to the next space of that color.
Example: If you draw a blue card, move to the next blue square ahead.
- Two-color card → Move forward to the second matching color space.
Example: Two reds means move to the second red space ahead.
- Picture/character card → Move directly to that picture spot on the board, even if it sends you backward or forward.
3. End your turn
After moving, your turn is over and the next player goes. More than one player can stand on the same space.
Special Spaces
- Shortcuts: Some spaces let you jump ahead (like Rainbow Trail or Gumdrop Pass). You must land exactly on the shortcut entrance to use it.
- Licorice spaces: In many versions, landing here means you skip one turn. Some older versions used slightly different rules.
How to Win
The first player to reach the Candy Castle at the end of the path wins the game! 🎉
