Shopping cart racing is when people ride inside or push each other in a regular shopping cart and race—usually in a parking lot, down a hill, or inside a store (which is illegal and unsafe) so you shouldn't do it :).

Shopping cart racing can be really dangerous because:

• Carts can tip over easily

• Wheels can lock or break suddenly

• You can crash into cars, curbs, or walls

• Serious injuries like broken bones or head injuries can happen

It’s also considered:

• Trespassing or disorderly conduct if done in stores

• Property damage if carts get broken

• Stores can ban you from coming back
