Paper Airplanes!!!!

The Arrowhead paper airplane is a classic for one reason: it’s fast, straight, and reliable. It’s basically the “sports car” of paper planes ✈️

What the Arrowhead is

The Arrowhead (sometimes called a dart plane) is built for speed and distance, not floating. It has:

  • A sharp, pointed nose

  • Narrow wings

  • A heavy front end

That combo makes it cut through the air instead of drifting.

Why it flies so well

The Arrowhead works because of stability:

  • Pointed nose → keeps airflow smooth and forward

  • Weight in the front → stops wobbling and flipping

  • Small wings → less drag, more speed

It doesn’t generate a ton of lift, but it doesn’t need to—its speed keeps it gliding forward.

How it behaves in the air

When thrown correctly, an Arrowhead:

  • Flies straight like a missile

  • Drops slowly instead of floating

  • Travels far in a hallway or gym

  • Rarely spins or stalls

If it dives hard, it’s too nose-heavy.
If it stalls and flutters, it needs a slightly stronger throw or tiny wing adjustments.

Best way to throw it

This matters a LOT for Arrowheads:

  • Throw it fast, not gentle

  • Aim slightly upward (just a few degrees)

  • Use a smooth release, no wrist flick

Hallways and gyms are perfect—wind outside messes it up.
