1. Place Bet: Place chips in the betting area before cards are dealt.
  2. Receive Cards: Each player receives two cards face up, while the dealer receives one up and one down (the "hole card").
  3. Player Decisions: Starting left of the dealer, you decide:
    • Hit: Take another card to increase hand total.
    • Stand: Keep your current total and end your turn.
    • Double Down: Double your initial bet, receive only one more card, and stand.
    • Split: Divide two cards of the same value into two separate hands (requires a second, equal bet).
    • Surrender: Forfeit half your bet and end your hand early (if permitted).
  4. Dealer Rules: The dealer must follow strict rules: usually hitting until they reach 17 or more, at which point they must stand.
  5. Winning: You win if your total is higher than the dealer's or if the dealer "busts" (exceeds 21). A "Blackjack" (Ace + 10-value card) usually pays 3:2.
  6. Push: If you and the dealer have the same total, it is a tie ("push") and your bet is returned.
