for Thanksgiving break I am going to Oregon to watch the Oregon Vs. USC game so i think that'll be a ton of fun
i like Oregon because i first liked their running back De'Anthony Thomas De’Anthony Thomas, often nicknamed “The Black Mamba,” was one of the most electrifying running backs and return specialists in Oregon football history. Born in Los Angeles, California, Thomas gained national attention at Crenshaw High School, where his blazing speed and agility made him one of the top recruits in the country. Choosing the University of Oregon, he became a perfect fit for coach Chip Kelly’s high-powered, up-tempo offense.
At Oregon, Thomas quickly became a household name. As a freshman in 2011, he showcased his versatility by scoring touchdowns as a runner, receiver, and returner, finishing the season with over 2,200 all-purpose yards. His combination of track-star speed, vision, and elusiveness made him a constant big-play threat every time he touched the ball. One of his most memorable performances came in the 2013 Fiesta Bowl, where he returned the opening kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown and added another long scoring run, earning Offensive MVP honors.
Though not the biggest player on the field, Thomas’s impact was enormous. His highlight-reel plays helped define Oregon’s explosive offense during one of its most dominant eras. After leaving Oregon, he was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, where he contributed as a return specialist and offensive weapon.
De’Anthony Thomas remains a symbol of Oregon football’s speed, creativity, and excitement—a player whose quickness and flair captured the imagination of fans and left a lasting legacy in college football.
