  5. California – White field, red stripe, red star, grizzly bear (“Bear Flag”).

  6. Colorado – Blue stripes, white center stripe, red “C” with gold circle.

  7. Connecticut – Royal blue with white shield, grapevines, motto ribbon.

  8. Delaware – Colonial blue + buff colors; state seal, date “December 7, 1787.”

  9. Florida – White with red diagonal cross and state seal in center.

  10. Georgia – Three stripes (red/white/red) + blue canton with state seal and stars.

  11. Hawaii – British Union Jack in the canton + 8 horizontal stripes.

  20. Maryland – Red/white/black/yellow quadrants based on Calvert & Crossland arms.

  21. Massachusetts – White with a Native American figure + blue shield + star.

  22. Michigan – Blue with coat of arms supported by elk & moose; Latin mottoes.

  7. New York – Blue with coat of arms: Liberty, Justice, Hudson River scene.

  8. North Carolina – Blue vertical stripe, red/white horizontal, two dates.

  9. North Dakota – Blue with eagle, ribbon “E Pluribus Unum,” state scroll.

  10. Ohio – Unique swallowtail flag; red/white/blue with circle-star design.

  11. Oklahoma – Sky blue, Osage shield with pipes and olive branch.
