Brooklyn Beginnings (1883-1957)

The Dodgers were originally founded in Brooklyn, New York, in 1883 and went through several name changes before settling on the Brooklyn Dodgers. The team won its first World Series in 1955, led by legendary players like Jackie Robinson and Duke Snider.

Moving to Los Angeles (1958-Present)

In 1958, the Dodgers made the historic move to Los Angeles, becoming the first Major League Baseball team on the West Coast. Since then, the team has won multiple World Series championships, including victories in 1981, 1988, and most recently, 2020.

The Dodgers have been home to some of baseball’s greatest legends, including:
