The Impractical Jokers are a reality TV show that showcases 4 childhood friends (Joe Gatto, middle right, Sal Vulcano, right. Brian Quinn, middle left, and James Murray, left) who willingly elect themselves to endure funny, embarrassing and often hard-watch punishments that showcase their friendship and also their ability to do stupid stuff however many times they want whenever they want and however they want. In order to execute the punishments while also having fun, they often make small fun competitions where the loser will have to do the punishment that the others get to pick out. One example was when Joe and Sal competed against each other in a grocery store to see who could put the most pencils in a random stranger's hoodie, where the loser had to do a punishment. Sal ended up losing and he had to chant offensive chants at a baseball game as a punishment.
