Spit is a fast-paced card game that can be played by two players. Here's a quick overview of how to play:
Objective
The goal is to be the first to get rid of all your cards.
Setup
- Deck: Use a standard 52-card deck.
- Deal: Each player gets a stack of 26 cards. Players do not look at their cards but keep them face down.
Gameplay
- Starting: Players simultaneously flip over the top card from their stacks and place them face-up in the center.
- Spit Piles: The cards in the center are called "spit piles." Players can play cards from their own stacks onto the spit piles.
- You can place a card on a spit pile if it is one rank higher or lower than the top card of that pile (e.g., if the top card is a 5, you can place a 4 or 6).
- No Turns: There are no turns; players play as fast as they can.
- When You Can’t Play: If neither player can play a card, they say "spit" and simultaneously flip over the next card from their stacks to create new spit piles.
- Winning a Spit Pile: The first player to get rid of all their cards in their stacks wins the spit pile. The winner can use that pile as their new stack of cards.
End of the Game
The game continues until one player has no cards left. That player wins!
