I was born in the Santa Clarita Valley and I plan on never leaving.  This is home!  I graduated from Hart High school in 1989 and grew up being a Canyon Cowboy fan as my dad was a teacher on the original Canyon staff.  I then played baseball at USC and a couple years with the Atlanta Braves.  In 1993, I graduated from USC with a degree in Marketing and went straight to work with Foot Locker and Wild Pair shoe companies.  I started teaching seven years ago at Valencia High School.  My family (all teachers) were the driving force behind my interest in teaching.  All along they said that I would be a great teacher and that this would be a great avenue for me to give back to the game of baseball.  I was lucky enough to get a shot in the classroom thanks to the support of Dr. Priesz at Valenica High School.  It was clear that I was meant to be in the classroom.  As an assistant baseball coach, I learned of my passion to be a head coach.  Mr. Bolde at Saugus High School believed in me and gave me the chance to run my own baseball program.   After four awesome years and many great memories, I now feel that I have found a home here at West Ranch with many of my favorite educators and friends.  This is truly a dream staff!   I am thrilled that Mr. Vincent has selected me to be the first ever baseball coach at West Ranch High School and to allow me to teach the students at West Ranch High School.  I come to West Ranch High School with my three awesome assistant coaches and best friends.  Jason Priske is our pitching coach and teaches special education.  Brad Fogel is our third base coach and will teach history at West Ranch as soon as he finishes his credential.  Darwin Smock is our first base coach and he will be done with his history teaching credential soon.  My brother Brady Burrill will be joining our staff in 2005 and he will teach math at West Ranch.  I have been married to my wife Kristin for 12 years and we have a daughter Kari (8) and son Corey (6).  I guess that is it.  Please enjoy the site and my love of creating web pages.
